Hi, I’m Nick.
A math teacher once told me I asked stupid questions. I took that personally. So I asked the dumbest question I could think of:
What if I became the greatest actor in the world?
Over a decade later, I’d performed on stages across the world—and on TV probably with some of your favorite actors. That teacher even came to see me.
How’d you learn all those lines? he asked.
I didn’t tell him it was a stupid question.
Curiosity led me everywhere—and eventually to New Jersey, where the culture and community make up for the psychopathic weather. Almost.
At work, I chase clarity in two ways:
Clarity of message: What are we saying, and who are we saying it to?
Clarity of process: How are we actually getting this done?
Stupid questions got me here.
